Meet Maureen, a Truly Authentic & Experienced Yoga Teacher

Meet Maureen Dinkins: Your Guide to a Holistic Path

My journey on the mat began in 1999 when a friend asked me to go to a yoga class at the gym. From the very first class, I was hooked. The poses challenged me, and the philosophy intrigued me, igniting a passion that would become my life's work. By 2004, I had completed my first yoga teacher training, and in 2007, I made the first of many trips to Mysore, India, to learn this ancient pathway toward enlightenment.

Since then, my professional life has been dedicated to sharing these transformative practices with others. I have been training students to become yoga teachers since 2012, and my programs are accredited with Yoga Alliance. Over the past two decades, I've had the privilege of teaching in gyms, studios, and in people's homes, always with a commitment to providing a safe and caring environment for my students. I also lead trips to India, where students can learn Ashtanga yoga, experience the culture, and immerse themselves in the richness of all that Yoga in India has to offer.

My desire to help students connect more deeply with themselves led me to expand my accreditations beyond the physical asanas. I am a certified Meditation and Pranayama teacher, guiding others to use breath and focused awareness to calm the body and clear the mind. As an Ayurvedic Practitioner, I help people improve their relationship with their bodies through the ancient science of food and lifestyle. My journey also led me to discover the profound healing power of sound, which I now integrate into my practice with handcrafted Tibetan bowls. As a long-time Ashtanga yoga teacher, my journey has been featured on several podcasts and in magazines.

Whether I’m leading a large studio class or guiding an individual, my personal mission is to teach to individuals and small groups. I believe that a close relationship with a knowledgeable teacher allows for a deeper understanding of yoga and its many benefits. I care about your spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being just as much as I care about your physical fitness. My ultimate goal is to help my clients and students grow, heal, and become a better version of themselves by offering a holistic approach that truly encompasses all aspects of yoga.
