My Journey to the Mat and Beyond

It’s funny, the things that change your life. For me, it was a friend asking me to a yoga class at the gym back in 1999. I went, of course, but what I found was so much more than a workout. I was hooked. The way the poses challenged my body and the philosophy intrigued my mind—it felt like a doorway to a path I didn't even know I was looking for.

That initial curiosity became a deep passion, and by 2004, I was in my first yoga teacher training. I knew I had to share this with others. My teaching journey really took a profound turn in 2007 when I made my first trip to Mysore, India. That trip, the first of many, was about more than just a destination; it was about learning an ancient pathway towards enlightenment at its very source.

I've spent the last two decades teaching in every kind of space—from studios and gyms to private homes and online platforms. Since leading my first Yoga Teacher Training in 2011, I've found a passion for working with individuals and small groups. In those intimate settings, I believe a truly transformative relationship between a teacher and student can be built, allowing for a deeper understanding of yoga’s many benefits.

Over the years, my practice and my teachings have evolved. After four dedicated trips to Mysore, I received my Authorization to teach Ashtanga yoga in 2016. I've expanded my education beyond the physical poses, earning certifications in Meditation and Pranayama to help my students calm their minds and transcend the body through breath. As an Ayurvedic practitioner, I also guide people in a more balanced, calming approach to their diet and lifestyle. And most recently, I've integrated sound healing with Tibetan bowls into my practice, a powerful modality I discovered during a recent trip to Rishikesh.

My journey has taught me that true healing is holistic. It’s about more than just the body; it’s about the mind, emotions, and spirit. I believe that my role is to help you connect more deeply with yourself, so you can heal from the inside out.

If you're looking for a guide on this path, one who can meet you exactly where you are, please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.
